Be safe with your motorbike tyres
Before every trip your tyres should be checked for damage, tread depth and air pressure. Not only must your tyres fit the model of your bike but they must also be fit for the weather and season you are driving in. Whilst you may think riding in heavy rain is fun, good motorbike and scooter tyres will give you good grip on a wet road.
Opt for all year round motorbike tyres if you don’t want to switch throughout the year; most manufacturers will offer all-seasons tyres.
Types of motorcycle tyres
Choose motorcycle tyres that suit the ground conditions that you drive regularly and your kind of riding.
If you commute every day but enjoy a longer ride at the weekend choose tyres that have good contact tread and are good for long distances. If you are more likely to take regular, longer rides choose a tyre that has good grip on the hills and a long service life. Think about if you need tyres for off-road and highways.
Having a track day? Make sure you switch to Motocross tyres which are good for jumping and obstacles.
